http://www.undisputedfightmag.com/2011/08/26/berridge-bounces-back-gets-tko-win/ Craig Thompson Promotions hosted ‘War On The Shore’ on Thursday night 25th August, 2011 in New Zealand. The night opened with a handful of corporate bouts followed by 4 pro fights. Robert Berridge vs Peter Tovi’o Bouncing back from his daylight robbery against Kerry Foley on the Green vs Tarver undercard, Berridge was to strong and to classy for Tovi’o in the main event. After an initial feeling out round in the 1st Berridge went to work in the 2nd and Tovi’o couldn’t answer back with the ref stopping the bout with Tovi’o beaten and almost out cold in a neutral corner. The official stoppage time was 1:12 in round 2. Gunnar Jackson vs Dicky Peirera In the co-feature bout, New Zealand’s most active prospect Gunnar Jackson demonstrated he was once again a level above the very game and durable Dicky Peirera in a rematch between the two. Jackson rattled off clean hard combos breaking Peirera’a nose in the 3rd. The scores were (40-36 40-37, 40-36) and Gunnar improves to (8-2-2). Clarence Tillman vs Junior Iakopo Tillman deserved to win in this one, he landed the cleaner harder shots, whilst Iakopo lunged in with wild flurries of which maybe 3-4 landed flush over the 4 rounds. The judges scored it (38-38, 37-40 Iakopo, 39-37 Tillman) As it stands it was ruled a split decision draw. The score of 39-37 was a fair reflection of the bout. Michelle Preston vs Nicky Bigwood Unfortunately for both the fight never really got started as Preston sustained a knee injury after what was ruled a push by Bigwood. The judges ruled a Technical Draw in the 1st round.
