what a slugfest this wouldve been.
I'm taking the Cooper from the Cecil coffee fight and the shavers from the norton fight, this when both fighters reached their peak IMO.

would cooper's chin and infighting pay off against shavers? or would shavers right hand find home against Cooper?
personally, I think Cooper takes this one by knockout. Cooper is a good infighter with a great right hand and left hook. his uppercut is good too. he has pretty good speed for a heavyweight, and a good chin.
shavers is a good slugger with a great right hand and a left hook. he is probably the hardest one punch knockout artist of all time. however, he didn't really have the stamina, or a great chin, so I don't think he would take cooper's best punch. BUT, Cooper may be able to take shavers best punch, that's what hard about this matchup. considering how many flush shots he took from moorer, mercer, bowe, and holyfield, make me think he would take shavers best shot.
who do you think would win? me, I'm going with shavers 8th round knockout.

Cooper could upset Shavers but I'd favour Shavers here. Cooper was affected by Foreman's body blows and ended up quitting on his stool, imagine Shavers going to his body the way he did against Norton.

That's how I see it. Earnie was typically more focused and dedicated to attacking the body than George normally did. Holyfield dropped Bert right out of the gate with a hook downstairs, and Shavers had a perfectly deadly hook to go with his legendary right. (He initially stunned Norton with his hook before that right to the body sent Ken down the first time.) Bert was far more potential than achievement. I think he'd lose heart fairly quickly after feeling whatever lead Earnie packed in his gloves. (Cooper frustrated the hell out of me, and he must have driven Frazier completely nuts.)

Cooper fought really well against the likes of Holyfield and Moorer but invariably came up short. Shavers could get dumped by Smokin' Bert if he gets careless but I still think Shavers would win and probably early.

    Shavers KO 2 Cooper

true, but... Cooper haden't peaked yet IMO.
and I don't really think this was a good fight for cooper period. he stuck and moved instead of doing the inside job. which was suicidal against foremaN. against a less stronger, weaker chinned, and less stamina shavers, he could probably do it.

Gotta go with Shavers' power here, somehwere inside of four. Bert would stand in front of him, and that was a no-no against the Acorn.

I'm a little suprised at these responses. Cooper has a better chin, speed, and Better stamina then shavers. shavers was a little chinny.
