In Miami! When the hell was this signed? The well beloved 90's fringe guy who never won a big one but gave hell to Mercer, Moorer, and holy, agaisnt the young Cuban prospect.
Oh my, where did they get Cooper? Still fighting? Ortiz BTW is matched tough which is the right thing (Bert shouldn't be any problem though), and at age 32 they should. Ortiz is the most exciting fighter since Valero we only follow on boxrec since we can't get his fights. Hope he appears on FNF in the near future fighting a Brewster or Peter or something, I have no idea how good he is.
Didn't know. Maybe you mix him up with Brock? He was forced to retire due to eye injury. I hope Brewster doesn't have such problems.
Sort of surprised the commision allowed this fight, but Cooper is tough test on paper. I think Ortiz KOs him in 2.
Brewster is never gonna get licensed again. The warriors career is over, lets just hope he's made enough to support his family.
after further review...Zack Page had 30 LOSSES going into this fight...37 years old... i wouldnt put the word "impressive" near this fight....it still took 8 rounds.... maybe a KO1 like thunder vs grimsley would be impressive..but tko8 over a 37 year old guy with 30 losses..... atsch
Probably for the better. Had a nice career. Anyways, if Ortiz gets past Cooper in impressive fashion it's time to step up.
I did a double take when I saw the face off photos on _____news. I can't believe Smokin Bert Cooper is still fighting. His brawl with Michael Moorer is an overlooked classic.
Guilerrmo Jones, Jason Estrada, Mike Mollo, tyson Fury, Michael Sprott...the list goes on of the fighters that COULDN'T knock Page out. he seems to lose but not by KO. Maybe it's just me, and admittedly so, those fighters arent HUGE punchers, but they all have good KO percentages. Maybe this Ortiz kid is ok and someone to look for, if even just based on him KO'ing Page where so many before have failed
