It’s autumn 1991 and Tommy Morrison is 28-0. Bert Cooper just finished a win streak where he beat Joe Hipp, Lauren Ross, Conroy Nelson and Anthony Wade. Morrison’s supposed fight with Mercer fell through and Evander Holyfield is fighting Francesco Damiani instead of Bert. Morrison and Cooper agreed to fight on the undercard of Holyfield - Damiani for ten rounds and a decent yet modest purse. Both show up in great shape. Who wins ?

Morrison inside of 5!Bert was solid fighter but not good against good punchers!

Bombs away ! Both were terrific punchers and did not baffle opponents with science. Add to this the fact that neither man's chin was terribly dependable and I simply cannot say which Fighter would be left standing.
Either way we don't hear the bell to end round 4.

Morrison, I believe would take this, by around 5 tko.
But we may get a Cooper punch from nowhere, blasting Tommy to the floor, unpredictable guy was Bert.

I think it is somewhat like the Corrie Sanders fight for Bert & he just cannot cope with the speed of this guy early.
that and the cross armed defense that is open for left hooks. Morrison back then came our firing & catches him real early

Best versions of both Cooper gets off the canvas and outlasts Morrison. Just more durable and tougher, better chin, better stamina.
I think Cooper hit harder as well. Tommy is gonna be there for that sneaky right hand of Cooper's.
Look at their respective bouts with Mercer to see the difference in toughness.

Similar to Moorer-Cooper with both men tasting the canvas but Morrison outlasting Cooper in the end.

1991 Tommy Morrison was still very green and Cooper had found a new life as a contender. Unless Tommy blasts him out early I dont see how he is going to survive trench warfare with Bert. Cooper is too strong inside. He was also relaxed, a pro by this time. Tommy hadnt been tested at all.
Dont get me wrong Morrison is gonna throw some heavy stuff and land his bombs but a focused Cooper wins this 9 times out of 10. Tommy is gonna punch himself out.

The Atomic bull says that Coopers left was the hardest punch he ever tasted.

His heart? He quit against Foreman and you said he had heart?
His chin great? He was knocked by light hiting Moorer and Larry Donald!Bowe knocked him in one round and old Weaver staggered him!
Do you even know about who we are talking in this thread?

Moore hit plenty hard watch them fight and tell me Cooper hasn't got heart nor a chin watch him fight Evander and tell me he doesn't have heart or chin.

He quit and both Moorer and Holyfield are not hard punchers!
