I think heart and toughness does it for Tony here, over Bert ("My head is buzzing" against Foreman). Two Ton came off the deck to return the favor to Louis. Galento was stopped three times in his first 104 bouts, all on cuts. Cooper was stopped ten times in 48 outings before turning 30.

honestly, assuming cooper is off the crack on this one, i think he rocks the **** out of galento after 3 of the best rounds you'll ever see. cooper was "the opponent" of the 90s for a reason: he had a punch, could be knocked down, always got up, but never got over that hump to the next level. even then, he was right in the mix with some of the 90s best heavies in holyfield and moorer. i love galento, for his left hook as much as his personality but he doesn't bring much to this fight other than that. cooper had a brilliant chin, good technique and just about as much punching power. galento would be reduced (as usual) to wild swings while cooper rocked him with sneaky right hands

    Cooper KO 7

If it is the good, drug free motivated Cooper, then Tony is going down!!

The good Cooper walked through all of heavy puncher Ray Mercer's bombs for 12 rounds, went to war with Holyfield, Moorer and smashed his fair share of pretenders and journeymen.. Cooper busts him up and stops him!

I´m with you on this one.....Tough fight for sure but Galento at his best was no joke...Tony had the better chin in my opinion.....only real punchers stopped him....and Cooper´s power was great of course......would be fun to watch.....

Some of you guys shouldn't post on the classic section, Galento wins this one, both hit hard and were great fighters but Tony has the better chin, he was a tough bugger, and an ******* from what I have heard.

Cooper is taken out of the fight by Galento's fouling. People under-estimate how good he was at getting into his opponents' heads, both with his outrageous trash-talk and disgusting ring tactics.

Cooper in the ring. In a bar, it could go either way.
