    That fight is still one of my all time favorite HW fights. Still have the original recording on VHS.

    I used to have a bunch of fights from that era on VHS. Some of them shared on tapes with movies that I partially recorded over. Sometimes I would stop the tape during commercial breaks and resume when they were over. Those tapes are in a landfill somewhere and even if I still had them I no longer have a device to play VHS tapes with

    Few yrs back I got a player that switches VHS to DVD did some fights then lost interest everything is all in a big box packed away.

    yeah and as those tapes age the picture quality really goes to hell too. If I were to view them now my primary interest would be to laugh at the commercials !!

    I saw it live on ESPN. Cooper is all out aggression until he gasses late in the fight. The stoppage is mostly due to Cooper being too gassed to defend himself. It was an action fight

    I did the same but with BETA. I wish I had a dollar for all the times my dad got pi$$ed I taped over his Oliver North Iran Contra hearings with boxing. Lol.

    In 1986 Cooper burst on scene with a devastating knockout of unbeaten Candian Champ Willie DeWitt. It was one sided and brutal.

    His fight with the Truth was a brilliant display of boxing from Carl real text book skills.
    Coops fight with that British bare knuckle idiot is really funny check it out on YouTube he is differently not text book !

    That was a good heavyweight brawl, with both guys going for it. I can remember the swollen faces of both, in particular Mercer s. Think hed had wisdom tooth removed or something, and made his jaw really swell up. Tough guy s.

    It really is a miracle that fight went to the cards after 12, given they were two hard bangers who literally SLUGGED the whole time.
