What makes Ridley Scott and David Fincher great filmmakers is their obsession with the smallest details, no matter how big the epic. They MUST be correct. They won’t settle.

Springs Toledo’s got the same compulsion, ‘n we, ‘n boxing, are the richer for it.

The atmosphere, the characters – the little things – are spot-on. He’s captured Stillman’s to a T. I was there ‘n it came to life.

Like Burt Bienstock, sadly -- with all the ATGs – could kick myself that I missed a force of nature like Lytell.

Can’t wait to read more.

Could not have said it better, amigo. He sets the bar very high for myself and for other boxing scribes and we are the better for it.

wtf Billy Soose  I did not know that happened. Hahahahahha that is magical, "he got to me and started to get to me a bit" but only after I kicked his ass to the canvas!

Have you thought about just copying and pasting the text into a Word document and saving? That's what I do.

Noted. I sent an email last week about this and they're evidently still working on it.

A tech just emailed me a shortcut while they work out the pdf problems. Here it is:

Go to the article you want to save.
Right click on the PDF icon.
Then select "Save target as"
Pick where you want to save it.
At the end of the file name add .pdf
Click save
Now you have the PDF file on you computer.

With the same result. Instead of a PDF, I got a text file:

TCPDF error: Missing or incorrect image file: images/stories/boxing/beast%201.jpg

Damn. It works on mine. He tells me that they're "still working it out." When I hear, you'll hear.
