I watched a few of his interviews. In one of the he said Maywaether facing Marquez was the best fight Floyd could make. Then in another interview he was bashing the match up.
Oh ****. He's old enough that it shouldn't be a massive shock - but he just seemed like someone who'd wind up pushing 100 and still waxing nostalgic on HBO Legendary Nights...
That sucks. He was a great boxing personality. Though hearing he died in his 70's of lung cancer is not a huge surprise. He had a long storied life.
Agreed. I find myself disagreeing quite strongly with some of his views but he's been great for boxing R.I.P. Bert
I hate when people disrespect him on this forum the guy is a boxing legend. R.I.P Bert and thank you for the many hours of fascinating viewing you have given us
Sometimes I think his stories were B.S., but he was a great ambassador for the sport of boxing. He'll be missed.
