Bert Sugar used to be an idol of mine and so was Larry Merchant,but I've grown up a hell of a lot and it is extremely easy to see that they are a part of the machine.Any semblance of truly brilliant or independent thought is gone,and has been,for some time.It's a pity really,I once thought that Larry Merchant was the Howard Cosell of my time,and Bert Sugar seemed to be an old sage.There is absolutely none of that anymore,and it's awful because they really played a pivotal role in my enchantment with the science.But as I have said,I've grown up,and just like I used to worship my uncle,who was the greatest story teller,but was a crackhead,I mostly today just see a crackhead,and it's not funny any more,and is really....really....,NOT COOL.
