if wlad is blindfolded and with canera has a baseball bat.

carnera was an enourmous man, but talented boxer.

He might not be on Klitschko's level, but Carnera is better than often given credit for.

He beat a few contenders and Sharkey for the title legitimately. He really grew as a boxer in America.

Klitschko (either) and Carnera's records are very comparable.

please elaborate. vitali is a two time world champion (three if you count the wbo), was never knocked down or seriously hurt and hasn't lost ten rounds in his entire career. i agree that carnera was better than he was given credit for, he was a very likeable guy, and a physical monster. but the only thing he has in common with the klits is size.

In many ways yes,Carnera fought HOFers(Sharkey,Loughran,Louis etc) and good contenders(Gains,Godfrey,Lasky etc) but he had mixed results, the Klitschkos have good records too but seem to be reted higher. That being said some of Carnera's fights were fixed and/or against weak opposition altough he grew as a boxer in America

Carnera fought in an era without multiple alphabet titles, my comparison does not touch upon this aspect. Unlike Primo, Vitali has never been the lineal champion, he lost to the man who held that crown. My comment is directed more at the level of opposition faced by the two men, this aspect is very comparable, although Carnera's victory over Jack Sharkey arguably gives him the edge.

Both men will leave similar legacies, unless Vitali fights and beats his brother.

I'd say Vitali's standard opposition is slightly better
