that purtiy loss was is 12th fight in a year, an he fought less then 30 days before that, an pretty much beat purrity ass for the whole fight till he lost his energy, but keep in mind 12 fights one year,,,He would KO primo,,,,,,,,,,,,,an thankyou on the louis, he would also ko him:hi:
The current Wlad Klitschko would be unlikely to lose to Primo. I'd say the chance of him losing to Primo is the same as him losing to Valuev. (I believe Valuev is the closest equivalent to Carnera in this era not a Klitschko) A cautious Wlad would probably win via decision, or possibly late stoppage. There's always a chance that Carnera could win, but I don't see it as the most likely outcome. Primo was not even close to being an ATG, whereas Klitschko still has the potential to build a legacy -- only time will tell.
Either Klitschko would easily beat Primo in a hypothetical contest due to the huge advances in sports exercise science since the days Carnera fought. In a similar fashion Jesse Owens wouldn’t live with Usian Bolt, Stanley Matthews with Lionel Messi or Fred Perry with Roger Federer, you are comparing apples and oranges. To that end, Sugar’s comments are rather stupid, however, when juxtaposing the relative achievements of either Klitschko vs. that of Carnera it is reasonable to believe that the fighters are of a similar standard. Someone earlier in the thread referred to Carnera as a carnival side-show of a fighter, well that is precisely how I view the Klitschko brothers. Two huge guys with Ivan Drago-esque appeal who wouldn’t cut the mustard if ever placed in the ring with a serious opponent.
wlad beats purritty 9 times out of 10. he was still green and fighting every three weeks and simply gassed out - big deal. wlad - carnera would look like wlad - wolfgramm or wlad - jefferson at best.
Wladimir Klitchko would KO Carnera and fast..similar style like... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_b6dU6W7Bvg
Carnera was made a fool of himself against Baer and Bert Sugar is giving a solid proof that he just hates the 21st century boxers and the Klitschkos, no way to go around this subject.
Fair enough. In a 15 rounder Carnera just might do it....in 10 or 12 Wlad can box safeely and win UD or late stoppage as you say.Wlad is already 32,don't see him being more an ATG than Carnera who actually fought borderline ATG's and HOFers(Louis,Stribling,Sharkey twice,Loughran etc).Wlad's resume is also good thinking at the weak HW era he is in.
