I’ve replied back to you in the other thread.

I would absolutely rank Floyd higher than Rocky.

And I’ve given you specific and logical reasons as to why.

There’s also no way that Rocky ranks higher than Archie Moore.

That is utterly ridiculous under traditional ranking criteria.

I'm seriously shocked by the absence of John Henry Lewis.

Personally, I think there’s a few shockers on there.

The more I look at this list, the more awful it becomes.

Some of these names and positions, are utterly baffling.

Guys, Dempsey has to be that high. Because he beat Carpentier, who was a greater p4p fighter than RJJ. That's logic 101.

    I used to like Burt.

    But his list is awful.

What criteria did he use. It’s mind boggling. Maxie Rosembloom higher than Larry Holmes. He must have just did this out of boredom. Picking a top 10 is hard enough, but 100. Did he use statistics? Did he ask others their views or did he just use your usual top 5 or 10 or 20 then slap the rest on this list to make 100. Load of crap.

    Look where Langford is.

Dempsey and Rocky are far too high.

    Archie far too low.

On what planet is Carpentier higher than RJJ or is my sarcasm meter off?

Well the man was entitled to his opinions, but that is pretty bad I must say, and this is coming from the world's worst list maker LOL.

How on Earth could someone sit there and write up a P4P list, get all the way down to Marcel Cerdan, and then think, "Hmm, maybe I can get Charles in next"?

He has Dempsey and Tunney higher than Charles and Moore.

    And Rocky?

How on earth can Rocky be ahead of Charles and Moore?

Look at the resume of Charles.

    I respected Burt a lot.

But there’s some mind boggling rankings there.

He must have listed his favourites, and not on any set criteria.

I grew up with tails of Jack Dempsey, because he was my Grandad’s favourite ever fighter. So I knew all about him from an early age. And I’ve always loved him.

But there’s no way that he can rank that highly, and above guys like Sam Langford.

I’d love to have challenged Burt on this.

In a friendly manner of course.

I think that Burt had a good sense of humour.

Yea he certainly came across as being a funny guy.
One thing about boxing lists, they always get people yakking, and that's a good thing.
