    Rumoured to be happening.

Good crossroad fight. Loser pretty much has nowhere left to go.
Winner may manage another title shot.

Not a bad fight actually. Algieri could nick this one.

Chris schools Berto, possibly goes down once or twice along the way, but in the end should do enough to win regardless, will he get a fair decision, that's another question altogether.

Algieri should win this, bad match up for Berto.

I think the Berto of five or six years ago would beat the current Algieri quite convincingly, but at this point Berto is definitely the more shopworn of the two. Berto will probably try to blast Chris out of there early with his grunting power shots only to find that Algieri is too well conditioned and durable for that. From then on Algieri's stamina and boxing ability win the day as Berto gasses in the later part of the fight. Clear decision win for Algieri in that scenario as long as he doesn't get robbed.

Algieri may not have recovered from the beating Spence gave him so a Berto KO win would not surprise me, either way it's a good match up.

I slightly lean towards Berto at first glance but Algieri is a warrior and solid boxer

I'd definitely favor Algeri here, something like 65/35.

Berto seems to rely on fighting in short bursts nowadays, he can't string anything of significance together anymore. Basically, he's simply going to drop rounds to the competent and rangy Algeri. He might hit Algeri here and there but I can't imagine the cards not ending up being 97-93 or so for Algeri. Just better rounded, fresher, smarter.

Agreed. I don't know what AL loves about Berto? He loss to every pressure fighter he faced. He still got dropped by Ortiz in the second fight, which means he is destined to get beat the hell up again by anyone with enough heart not to back down. Chris should keep JDJ on board for this fight. Use that same tactic he used for Khan.

Interesting fight. I think I'd pick Algeri but it's a pretty even match up.

Good little fight. I think Algieri' length and overall size will be a little too much for Berto at this point. But I won't completely count out Berto here, he can explode at any time and if Chris gets too comfortable he could leave himself open and get caught with something big. Algieri wins a hard fought battle imo.. Algieri SD12

Anyone who can take Berto's power gives him trouble.
However, the bad thing for Algieri is that he can't even
    break an egg.
