Berto caught a SERIOUS break with that stoppage

Berto is flawed, we know that. He still has to learn to fight inside, defense included, but he's trying. First Lennox got lucky against Vitali, now Berto gets lucky against Zaveck.

 

Lol obviously his punches were hitting more than gloves, I point to the mans mutilated face as evidence. What would possess you to post something like this when it's obviously not true, based on what happened and what you saw to be true? Berto is there to be hit but to do so you are gonna have to take his, apparently Zaveck couldn't do that...or he wouldn't have been cut up and TKO'd.

 

I saw a clear headbutt when they went against the ropes in the 5th

 

people r smokin some good shite tonite. berto outsmarted him and took some pages from old hopkins with the headbutts in there. he made him fight his fight. berto totally outmuscled him.

 

I saw Zaveck doing a whole shitload of headbutting himself.

Let me preface what I am about to write by saying that Berto was in no way "lukcy." He gritted it out and earned the win.

The "mutiliated face" line is over-the-top hyperbole, however. If Zaveck's face is the worst you have ever seen, you're a relative newcomer to the sport.

Moreover, cuts and facial damage are frequently "fools Gold," as any longtime fight fan will tell you.

Some folks cut more easily. Period.

 

Not all, I saw Berto holding him and leaning on him with his head and Zaveck hitting him with good clean uppercuts.

I also saw Berto get walked to the ring by Soulja boy against Quintana, that right there discredits anything else he does in boxing in the the future, he can KO pac and mayweather, but it still wont erase the fact.......That he got walked to the ring by Soulja boy.:deal

Definitely, but we will never know..... I mean Berto was connecting pretty solidly but looked to be fading and kept getting tired, so who knows...Zabeck was also connecting very well with hard flush shots... to bad we don't get to see.

I don't know how you didn't see that. Zaveck was doing it all night..... mostly because both fighters very stupidly kept their heads toward the middle when fighting in close. That's why you saw so many uppercuts land for both men. Difference was Zaveck had his head down and his chin tucked behind his gloves, while Berto left himself wide open for any butts or punches coming his way because he was usually opening himself up while trying to clinch.

 

Both accounts are equally absurd.

 

Only a ****ing ****** would think berto caught a break.
