Yes!!! one of the best fights of the year in Januray and I expect the same thing, only that Collazo gets KO this time. after that, Berto is on to big things. I got a feeling of Cotto-Berto after Pac beats him so he can get right back in the mix.
He better train harder....he starts winding down in the championship rounds!!! Also, I haven't seen much improvement in Berto !!!!
There hasn't been any. He's just holding more and more and more. That's literally the only thing different from a few fights ago - ever since he stepped up from complete bums and journeymen, that is. This has been his "adjustment" moving up to the next level.
first of all im sick of people calling the first decision a "robbery"... it was a close fight, close fights can't be robberies... a robbery was when casamayor beat santa cruz or when pea drew with chavez... just because you are a member of say a large minority who think that collazo should've nicked it by a point or two doesn't mean it's a freakin robbery... jesus christ... what that means is you didn't agree with the decision... not agreeing with a decision does not equal robbery you ****ing morons
Berto is what he is. He is a short fighter with power, and has fast hands. Where he needs to improve at he can correct. That fight w/Collazo was a learning experience. Many fighters go through that even as champions. I don't expect Collazo to last the full 12 this time around.
:good:good:goodThe funny thing is Pac fans say that JMM-Pac was close, but if you ask those fans who won the first fight Floyd or Castillo, they outright say Castillo won. This is the type of shite that is comical to me. It basically comes down to who is part of your heritage/race when picking a winner at times.
In his last fight Berto displayed a canny ability to slip Urango's punches and turn him before resetting. It's probably the one positive that I took away from that fight. I'll agree that his holding has become distastefully excessive especially against Urango, but it wasn't surprising considering he was buzzed early in his previous fight against a lesser puncher in Collazo and he and his team were weary of Urango's power.
Andre really needs to find other, more aesthetically pleasing ways of keeping control. Hopefully they're working on that.
