First off, Collazo is a first class opponent, and a humble guy who I came to like after this fight. He deserves a rematch on that alone, but unfortunately Collazo probably won't get one. This fight came down to who landed the harder shots in this close fight.

Neither fighter was seriously hurt. Even Berto, who in the first wasn't hurt, and had his foot stepped on by Collazo. Berto came back to wobble Collazo a bit also. Both did stun each other a couple of times, but neither was seriously hurt.

Many of us also saw/thought Dlh beat Shane in the rematch. But Shane won the same way Berto did. Shane the harder shots in their rematch. You clearly heard Shane and Berto's shots landing harder than Dlh's and Collazo's in their fights. Many ringside experts had Shane beating Dlh, and I had Dlh beating Shane. I knew why Shane got the decision though, and don't see a problem with Berto getting the nod. You heard Shane's punches landing very hard ringside. Smae with Collazo. The funny thing is that on television, the shots that were landing for Collazo weren't landing hard...just in bunches. Collazo landed some good shots, but Berto's were harder. Berto's shots clearly had more power on them.

Collazo fought an excellent fight imo. He crowded Berto to nulify his speed. The fight was there for him in the 12th, but the clean bodyshots Berto landed clearly hurt Collazo as he backed off his attack, and you saw the pained expression in Collazo's face. The 116-111 score was a travesty, but 114-113 scores were legit on the other cards.

Some compared Berto winning to Floyd getting over when he beat Castillo...that is so phony by phony fans. Sore loser fans is what I call those types of fans. Berto-Collazo was a excellent, close fight which favored the puncher. Boxing deserves Cunningham-Adamek and Berto Collazo rematches.

A robbery is a robbery whether the fighter won it by 10 points or a single point. If he deserved to win then he deserved to win, simple as that. These fighters depend on wins as their livelihood and any loss robs them of opportunities to make more cash in future fights. Robberies are boxing's biggest disgrace... and with a scorecard like 116 - 111 in favor of Berto you can't help at think that Collazo got screwed over big time.

No, when two scores are like that then that is usually the case. This was a fight that saw all 3 judges favored Berto in good and bad scoring, so imo this was not a robbery. All Collazo had to do was win the 12th, and he lost it clearly when he let Berto hurt him with that body shot. Couragious effort by Collazo though!

Collazo wins the 12, he wins the title. How is this a robbery? He didn't dominate Berto to the point that he won many more rounds than Berto. Most of the rounds were close in this fight.

it looks like a robbery because of the 116-111 card.

but it isnt a robbery because Collazo completely gave 2 or 3 rounds away. especially the 7th and 8th.

    It was a Robbery, Period.

and you know it in you heart for the simple fact that your saying that we can't act like this was a robbery.

I could live with a spilt decison here with Berto winning, but we didn't get that. It was a UD for Berto. The wrong guy won.

The word " ROBBERY " Is over used. I prefer a bad decsion, with one judge who should be thrown out of boxing.

    Great fight though!

No, it just shows me that a couple of you can't score a fight, and that you're mad that your fighter lost. You're picking on one scorecard.

i dont count the 116-111 card in this fight at all. that was just a terrible decision. of course thats just me and the card is official never the less.

but Berto winning by 1 point on the other two cards is def conceivable to me.

i like both fighters, but i'm not a fan particularly of either one. berto landed the cleaner shots, collazo outhustled him the first part of the fight. a draw might of been fair
