"But my tendons are still intact as they can see,..So I am gonna have to ice it and rest for a few weeks so the swelling can go down [and] then start rehab... the doctor said it should be fine,Not a serious tear, just needs time to heal."

    -Andre Berto

Apparently Berto tore his bicep in either the first or second round. That's a gutsy performance, being off 11 months and fighting 6 rounds against a former champ with basically one arm. Hopefully this won't keep him out of the ring for long.

It doesn't matter...one or two arms, he doesn't have what it takes to beat the VERY best.

That's irrelevant. Some fighters need 3 days to recover from having a teaspoon of blood taken, this kid fought almost an entire fight with a torn bicep.

Correction man. They need three days when the blood is tested for illegal substances. If you are just testing for blood pathogens then they are fine with the teaspoon of blood loss. :yep

I said this a few days ago - Berto deserves a lot of credit for fighting through this injury against a good fighter. It wasn't the best performance from him, but you wouldn't have expected that all things considered, so it was even more impressive that he fought through such a potentially bad injury and stopped his man.

    Berto is underrated, I think.

Very impressive to fight through that. I've torn my rotator cuff connecting to my chest and bicep.

He's lucky he didn't do anymore damage, but impressive none the less.
