He has speed and power.......unfortunately for him it takes more than that to become an elite. He's NOT the "truth", not by a long shot. He has so many clear flaws. People need to watch the boxer and not how easily he dispatches the D-F level fighters he's been beating up on.

Even if Berto wasn't quite good enough for world level, that would not categorise him as a fraud. A fraud is a fighter who isn't willing to fight the best fighters in the world, whilst also holding a belt. I'm sure that raises a few names.

Yeah, he's talking about MW Daniel Jacobs. Although he has faced F- level competition so far, he looks more promising than Andy Lee ever looked.. he definitely has more natural ability and is more comfortable in the ring early on than Lee was.

I see a fighter in Berto who has been fighting to the level of his opposition which has been average at best. People are quick to criticize his defense but when your opponant can't really hurt you then you tend to take more chances on offense. If Berto were to fight an elite welter, say Cotto for example, I doubt he would fight with the wreckless aggression that he did against Rivera which lead to his 1st professional knockdown. (A fight by the way that he was dominating up until the knockdown and after it)

I think Berto has the speed and power to one day be the man of the division. All that said Gamboa is the better prospect.

    Gamboa
    Khan
    Berto

I see serious flaws in Berto, add to that, the division he is in is arguably the toughest in boxing right now and the kid doesn't stand a chance,

Khan is better than most of you think, but at prospect level (even though we shouldn't call him that due to his overall experiance) Gamboa is the don. I expect big things from this guy.

Fighting to the level of his competition? He's been the same in every fight, overwhelming his $10 a day house gardener opponents with speed and power. He shows a lack of footwork, defense, and accuracy. He's not much more than a quick brawler to be quite honest, though he has a pretty good jab.

Guys Berto doesn't have real power. He has a solid frame and fast acurate shots. Against bumbs that get hit with pin-point shots that they don't see coming that looks like power. Against a Cotto or a margarito that looks like a guy who can't do **** to his opponent and is getting his ass kicked in return. Honestly, I rate him as having just above Floyd type power, with less skill to use it. Not impressed yet. Plus he's in the deepest division in boxing, which means he'll probably be forced to sink or swim before any of these other guys.

I used to be sceptical of Khan but I've changed my opinion. Khan's the real deal. So long as he doesn't let the fame get to his head and stays focused on continually improving he has all the tools to be the next big thing. I only hope he sticks around the 135 ld division long enough to see a Khan Gamboa fight.

The hard hitting David Estrada has been is best test to date and Berto showed me alot in that fight. He was able to withstand Estrada's aggression for 11 rounds before KOing him with what appeared to be 1st round power shots. If im not mistaken Estrada has never been stopped and he's been in with Mosley. Berto has aray of an offensive arsenal and throws one of the best uppercuts in boxing. He's only 24 years old and he does fight in the best division in boxing so he should take the slow approach and develope. I see him as an elite fighter by the end of next year.

I could easily see Jacobs becoming a champion one day, especially in this weak MW division, but it's also too early to tell. I highly doubt Lee will ever be a titlist and same goes for Khan. Khan and multivision in the same sentence.. Gamboa doesn't need to be mentioned among these names, he was a sensational amateur and he clearly has the ability/skills to become a great pro fighter.

He's like a shitty Shane Mosley who's worse in every way and doesn't really know how fight smart or adjust to styles.
