I also think a 154 pound version of Juanma is P4P H2H better then a 135 pound version of RJJ. Disagreeing with me makes your knowledge laughable.

A 168 pound Gamboa is P4P H2H better then the 168 Joe C and would have more then 30 defenses of this hypothetical title.

He already is a legit top 10 guy in the division. Show me ten fighters you would rank above him at welterweight?

The problem isn't in him or his skills. I say that because of the other talented beasts around him. I think the chances of him getting roughed up and put out or others surpassing his accomplishments in the ring are greater than him ever being p4p.

This post is just silly really. You are jumping all over Gamboa's nuts for dispatching a b level fighter like Jiminez reasonably convincingly. But when Berto does the same consistently, in very dominant fashion you label him a mediocre fighter.

This gamboa circle jerk club is becoming less and less credible by the day.

He is a good fighter yes, a more exciting propsect than Berto also. But not by a lot, and the disparity in the skill level is not even close to what your little clique would like to make out.

The level of group think between certain posters on this board is becoming sickening at times.

I hear u, but I feel like he should be a big threat to any welter. I hope all the welters feel like most of ESB, BECASUE i WILL FEEL SORRY FOR THEM., INCLUDING Cotto. Not saying he beats him, but if Berto throws that uppercut Cotto will be hurt like in the Zab fight.

Both fighters are great. Gamboa is flashier, takes more risks in the ring and is willing to take on any man in boxing without a 2nd thought. Berto has a lot of power and speed and is quite a bit more boxy than Gamboa, might be a bit more hesitant to take on the top dogs but he has to now whether he likes it or not. (I think they rushed his development by giving him this belt)

I like Gamboa more, not saying I don't like Berto...I do..But I'm more impressed with Gamboa for my own reasons than I am Berto. Offensively Berto is awesome to watch but defensively not so much, and he doesn't move too well on his feet at least from what I've seen.

Gamboa offensively isn't a powerhouse, but he throws ridiculous amounts of punches, They aren't mike tyson punches but they all have enough to sting his opponents. Defensively he is better than Berto, yes even with his hands down he has more movement. And his foot movement is very impressive to me.

I don't hype any fighter, I'm just a fan of what they do and how they fight and so I really like Gamboa.

It just seems like people can't be fans around here, or they don't know how to be fans...Or they get **** on for being a fan. Nut huggers are not fans. What ever happened to just rooting for a guy to win because you like how they fight? Is it a sin to do this lol?

That's why I like Berto I'm just a fan and never seen a boring fight of his. I would rather have someone like him in WW compared to some of the boring ones. But I feel u and I'm also a GAMBOA FAN AND JUST RECIEVED HIS CAREER COLLECTION ON fRIDAY.

That's fair enough, the post wasn't directed at you. To be fair though, defensively Gamboa is hardly Pernell Whitaker. He is there to be hit, and has been tagged plenty already.

Gamboa seems to have a tonne of natural talent. But when people start pointing to him being leagues above Berto in terms of talent, that is a big call. Gamboa hasn't done anything yet to warrant that sort of accolade.

The double standard is what is annoying. Berto gets hit with a punch he didnt' see, against a b level fighter and goes down. Ends up dominating the fight. According to the Gamboa club, he is exposed with a glass jaw, regardless of how solid he has looked, and punches taken since then.

Gamboa gets put on his arse against a b level fighter, goes on to win the fight in dominant fashion, but he is god with an unbreakable chin. It goes to far, and its happening around here on a more consistent basis.

I agree with this. People have to think a guy is the ultimate and support him to death.

Personally i am a fan of Berto. Doesn't mean i think he is the be all and end all. Just a good fighter, who i enjoy watching. That is it.
