Berton has needed a new trainer since he began. He has not developed at all. People keep saying he needs to box, he has never boxed as a pro, never developed the abilty to fight on the inside, never developed good defensive habits.

Now that I think of it, Berto never fought anyone legit at 147, Ortiz is the first 140 fighter he fought that was legit.

You have a mistake in your title. It should read:

BertHOE will need some time to heal!

He didnt look sloppy as ****. He looked the same as he ALWAYS has.

And LMAO! Fans on here are jokes. After EVERY SINGLE LOSS they call for the fighter to switch trainers.

Berto has been with his trainer since he was a kid. I dont think he's gonna switch up, and at 27 theres not much he's gonna add or learn. He is what he is.

It absolutely seemed like he got a concussion in that first round. I hope no serious damage was done.

My boss is a big time berto fan, wonder what he is gonna say when we start back up this next week.
while that definitely wasnt a finesse fight by any means, it was very entertaining. Ive seen berto fight before and I always thought he was there to be hit.
as far as as healing goes, guys like that, who go a long time before losing their zero dont tend to be able to adjust to the point that guys who have lost earlier in their careers have(examples tyson, hamed, etc)

What made Ortiz more legit at 147 than Collazo or Quintana? Who did he beat?

Even as a fan, I was disappointed with Berto's comments in the post fight interview as he stated that he wasn't himself in the ring tonight.

The truth is that Berto fought pretty much how he always fights. In this instance though, Berto's speed and explosiveness weren't enough to negate his shortcomings as an inside fighter - and a lack of head movement - against a fighter with the skills and power of Ortiz.

I hope he recovers physically, but it's his mental recovery that I am more concerned with after suffering his first defeat.

I said legit 140 fighter, usually Berto was fighting nobody 140 fighters or extremely limited 140 fighters, Ortiz is the most complete 140 fighter he faced.
