I was cheering for Berto in the fight, Guerrero simply proved that he can be a Welterweight fighter who was underestimted by the forum. Gurrero came to fight and took advantage of Berto's clinches as his past opponents have, and he won with suprising power and chin. Berto fought on, only getting knocked down in the beginning but kept on fighting with all he had. Guerrero was just better than him. It's funny because everybody in the forum before the fight was talking of how Guerrero would get destroyed, now it's how much of a bum Berto is. Stop crying because you were going for him and you didn't predict it right. Just enjoy the fight, maybe complain about the ref, and go on with your lives.
Agreed. Can't go from "Guerrero's got no chance" to "Berto was never any good" and expect to be taken seriously.

It's stupid how a fighter can be labeled a bum when fighting two great fights. Yes he lost both, but they weren't against just any opponents, besides he showed he has a solid chin and a huge heart. Berto is a badass, and I will continue looking forward to his fights.
Hats off to him for sticking it with it. Hats off to both fighters for what is one of my top fights of the year.
Definitely agree. Not a bum by any stretch. He just needs to reinforce his fundamentals and maximize his talents instead of relying on his physicality, because when it fails him, he has little left to offer.
It's like Berto forgot who he is/was. Berto was always a "Boxer". Stayed on the outside, used range, his speed and his jab. In his past 3 fights (Ortiz, that Euro dude and Guerrero) Berto just seem content with laying on the ropes fighting on the inside and trying to bang. WTF? IMO, It's one of two things...Either he no longer has the stamina to "Box" for 12 rounds or he has a VERY POOR CORNER.
He's not a bum but he is not very talented either. How do you even tricked into walking backwards into the ropes every single round? And all that "speed and power" could not even floor a natural FW.
Berto is C-class, not exactly a bum. If Ortiz is a B- fighter, Berto is C fighter. Maidana is a B fighter.
I agree but I think he sucked tonight. It could be the steroid thing in which case he'll look like crap for the remainder of his career.
Nope...Watch it again. Berto several times during each fight was motioning to Ortiz and Guerrero to "Bring it" or "Come on" while STAYING against the ropes.
