His corner was brutal last night!. 3-4 people talking to him at once, not helping at all . Before berto got in the ring he just didnt have that look in his eyes u know.

Berto needs to stop working with family and get new tariner asap?. Looks like everybody leaches off him.

Get new coach etc. start fresh :good come back for a rematch

AND WHAT A GREAT SLUGFEST . THANKS BERTO AND ORTIZ FOR GIVING US MAYBE FOTY. BRING ON THE REMATCH

Berto doesn't just need a new corner. He needs to go back in time and teach little Dre how to box much earlier on.

He still can't really box for ****.

He coasted on speed and power for a long time.

I've been criticizing him as being terribly inaccurate for a long time. The only reason Ortiz got KD a couple of times is because he was right up in Berto's face, making himself impossible not to find.

Berto has no technique, no defense, and not the best of chins. Bad recipe.

Yes the corner for berto was a joke ! The advice and they way they was talking sounded as if they had never even watched a fight! It was sad ! If ortiz had of went to the body more early berto wouldnt have made the distance

Agreed berto must get rid of his corner! Total unprofessional disgrace!

    Berto has raw talent!
    Has tasted being a champion.
    Has tasted his first defeat!..

    Like miguel cotto...when he lost
Like chad dawson ...when he lost
Berto needs manny steward to put the pieces back the right way!....

Emanuel stewart is known for bringing out da best in fighters..
    Especially after tough fights
When the fighter he revitalizes jus got is "0" taken away
Or was a former cham...or both.

I think stewart can make berto a better thinker as well as a better all around fighter...

    Berto vs ortiz 2

His corner was diabolical. Absolute mess with no order. Still great TV fight. Multiple knock downs and tons of action. This is what boxing needs.

Berto will be fine, he just got a bit of a reality check last night. The fact that he received it without being seriously hurt is going to help the rest of his career.

No, people talked all through last night and into the wee hours of this morning about WHAT A FANTASTIC FIGHT it was.

Now that the initial buzz has worn off, people are thinking about tangential issues...like the fact that Berto never learned any proper fundamentals.

At 27, after being with his trainer since he was a kid.... Berto isnt gonna change. He is what he is, and ppl are gonna have to accept that.

Besides, Roach/Steward/McGirt isnt the answer for EVERY single fighter you simps!

Fundamentals is not Berto's issue/problem. In fact his boxing skills are very solid. Berto has been in wars and got hit often versus what kind of fighter....wait for it, wait for it....SOUTHPAWS. And because he has yet to figure out southpaws is not a sign of "Lack of Fundamentals". Thats like saying a prolific scorer in hoops doesn't know the Fundamentals because he can't shoot free throws. His Jabs, combinations and boxing ability his more affective versus orthodox fighters.

So this (WHY ARE PEOPLE CRITICIZING THE BLACK GUY) is what you take from my post....Really? And I always saw you as one of the better posters who didn't "buy into that crap"...Oh Well!!!
