Berto also says that without overlooking Collazo, he wants the winner of Mosley vs Margarito and says he'd like to fight Mosley, Clottey, Margarito or Cotto.

berto's talking like a true champ now. depending how he does with collazo, which should be his toughest test, should tell us how he'd do with someone like mosley, who beat collazo convincingly. if he blasts through collazo, maybe he might be apart of today's fab 4 (williams, margarito, cotto, ???) instead of floyd. he's strong and has fast hands, but at times seemed winded vs. forbes, which is not a good sign because against a heavy hitter he would of been in huge trouble in those middle rounds. we'll see

What would a series of fully loaded powershots from Andre Berto do to Antonio Margarito? (real question)

Berto claimed in that interview that he didn't eat enough before he fought Forbes. Berto weight 153.5 going in, and Forbes came in at 158-160. I think alot of what Berto says is more hopeful/delusional than factual at this point, but that may be a legitimate excuse.

He's to seasoned to be making mistakes like not eating properly before fights, thats not a legit excuse.

Probably not, although that may have been part of some tinkering/tooling they were trying with his regimen. He started swimming for the Forbes fight as well.

Thats why he trained different, because he was fighting Forbes & not Collazo.

There's nothing he can do for Collazo outside of totally relearning how to fight a different way.

The answer to that one might be answered with another question. Does Berto hit as hard Cotto? I think he easily matches Miguel's speed and eventhough Miguel is compared to fighters like Chavez who would break down their opponents, I think it's safe to say Cotto does have one punch KO power that matches Berto.

From what I've seen from Berto, for the most part, he seems like a headhunter. Eventhough he is champ, I still don't think he's proven yet for the reason of his quality of opposition. It's hard to say how his chin or body might react to punches from Margo, Cotto, Shane, or Clottey who are all proven warriors and great body punchers. I know it sounds like I might be dissing Berto, but the truth is he hasn't shown any of these qualities against a quality opponent becuase he hasn't fought any besides semi-retired Forbes. But he is an exciting fighter and believe he should prevail against Collazo.

His style is fine, its just a question if he can be the bsmarter man against Collazo
