I know i may catch hell for this, but I'm not sold on Berto at all yet. He reminds me a lot of Judah. He is very gifted physically. But he is still very wild in the ring. He doesnt listen, seems to lose focus, and doesnt know how to finish. He swings very wildly when he feels he has an opponent hurt. Much like judah, i think he has all the physical tools to be great, but i think he needs to do more body work and learn to be more patient and break his opponents down. I think he has the potential to mold his style after Mosley with power boxing.

Also, is it me, or does anyone else think that Berto looks like the monster priest at the end of the movie Beetlejuice that was going to marry beetlejuice and that girl. What do you think??

I'm still not quite sold on him either.

Obviously a great win for him tonight. I would love to see Berto-Quintana later this year or early next year. We would get a better picture of where he is at through this fight.

I agree I'm not completely sold but destroyed Estrada's body tonight. It seemed to me that everytime he realy hurt him it was to the body to start

Berto looks a bit more like Quasimodo after a few rounds.

But besides that he has the goods man. He worked Estrada worse than Mosley and well, he nearly knocked him out as fast as Cintron.

He has star potential for sure.

I just think he makes his fights way too hard. he has all the tools to destroy these guys he's fighting within 5 roundds. i think he goes for the head way too much. he does go to the body, but i dont think nearly enough. and yes, he is fast as hell and strong as hell, but i dont think he uses his natural abilities to his advantage as best he can.

Berto has potential. Of course he's not there yet, but he's been improving significantly with each fight. This fight, his defense was much tighter than it has been in the past. He should be able to continue to improve. Not sure he'll be a star or anything, but I can definitely see him winning a belt or two at some point.

I picked Estrada for the upset, so credit to Berto. I still stand by that he's not going to be anything significant, too many flaws and problems in there.

Quintana - Berto? Hmm. Would have to think about it. I'd probably take Quintana do his superior ability at range, but he may prove to be weak to the body. I don't doubt that Quintana can KO Berto either, who has shown that he doesn't have the best chin around in the Rivera fight.

are you serious he did great body work, more then estrada who should have been doing the body work.he took his time and and did not get to excited when he was cracking estrada, he took his time and used the jab and got his man out of there in good fasshion.

it was estrada he beat some i want get carried away until he does that against a better fighter but he did everthing right in that fight imo.

Exactly. He was hurting Estrada to to the body all night. Estrada would cringe and drop his hands, and in return eat a lot of head shots while being over protective of his midsection. Funny thing is, in one of the later rounds, Dame Dash stands up and screams to Berto to work the body. Less than 10 seconds later, Berto hurts Estrada with body shots. But anyway, that uppercut that hurt Estrada in the 11th was a hell of a shot.

Berto was great last night, Estrada is no bum he came to fight. Sure he has some flaws but he's young and will only improve.

Berto's gonna be good but people forget how incredible Zab was before Tszyu.
