Berto planned to return November possibly against Guerrero.

Berto has become underrated and a fight against Guerrero would be a confidence builder before a bigger fight like the ones you mention.

Guerrero wouldn't be able to hurt Berto and then the speed/pop would take over.

Low risk, medium reward fight for Berto and we know Haymon loves those :nut

It does seem unlikely that Conte would give Berto an archaic and easily detectable form of steroid. But Berto did fail the test, and he seems to be getting let off the hook.

 

This is actually a good fight and one that would put the winner in a very strong position to land a Mayweather fight.

I don't think Berto is a lock in this either, Guerrero looked solid against Aydin who was a top 10 type fighter himself. Guerrero has proven to be a threat as a welterweight and Berto has already been off for a year.

Berto would be the favorite but I think Guerrero would be a live underdog if this fight happens. I like this fight and hope it comes off.
