Damn:patsch I didn't think I'd have to mention FLOYD given the fact that we are discussing FLOYD'S OPTIONS! Jeez Louise.....get off of his dick for christ sake. OF COURSE FLOYD IS THE DRAW! He'll get the lions share....but THANKS TO SHANE! This fight is bigger than Josh vs PAC!

OH...and in case I have to spell it out......Josh vs PAC is a good fight not only b/c of JOSH.....BUT ALSO PAC...in case no one knew.:rofl

Hey numb nuts.....whats a bigger fight Josh vs PAC or Floyd vs Campbell?

Berto got an opportunity to bail, and RAN with it.

Most fighters would kill for a showcase like this one. Berto must have felt pretty certain of the outcome. :yep

Just thinking if Berto got persuaded to pull out to give way for a Floyd-Shane fight to happen. Imagine if Berto pulled an upset on Shane, then Shane-Floyd would not have made sense and Floyd-Berto would not be as big of a draw. Just a thought...

Yeah, nothing like losing a lot of family members and finding out that your sister and niece are now homeless. Boxing is a sport and a form of entertainment. What Berto is going through is called life. I think his family and life is more important than entertaining you for an hour. However, I have a heart.

That mindset is very understandable but impractical. How in the hell is he going to help his family?

It would make more sense if he took the fight, the purse would go a long way in helping his loved ones.

But I understand if his head's not in it.

I think the head not being in it is very important. If he comes in unmotivated or unfocused, he could eat some nasty shots from Mosley. Fights like that can ruin careers. Taking care of your family in a dangerous sport like boxing should be a long term proposition.

I don't know what the **** people are complaining about. This fight should of happened sooner like December, November, or two days ago on January 16. I blame the scheduling of the match, January 30 is WAY too long for a fight of this magnitude to happen.

Yeah when Berto's eight family members died, I'm sure he was thinking "Alright! Now I have an excuse to get of the Mosley fight, the one fight I've been begging for for years"

ESB is a sickening ****ing place. All these worthless "Fighter A ducking Fighter B" topics are disgusting. All these keyboard warriors who have never put on a pair of boxing gloves before in their lives want to tell real professional fighters what they should and should not do, what's real and what's not real.

Let's see eight of YOUR family members die simultaneously in a national disaster.. let's see if you even have the mental/emotional strength to get out of bed and come make your 100 posts a day on ESB, much less train for a professional fight that is one week away.

I think berto was paid step-aside money...he was saying a few days ago he had more to fight for now, then all of a sudden he drops out....

Young Berto understands he has to be 100% focused and ready for a step up like this vs someone of Shane's calibre. IF Berto is distracted b/c of the loss of family members....if he has to devote time and energy to helping his family and freinds in Haiti then why would he even think of fighting Shane? TO beat a guy like Shane you had best be 100% mentally, physically and emotionally before you step in the ring with him.....if not you might as well not even show up. Berto is young and still pretty green for a champion...this is Berto's FIRST major step up and its against the best WW out there today. Berto is a champion and someone will come along with a big name to try and take it. .....other paydays will be there down the road.

i didn't know that fighters could just pull out of a fight for any reason once it was signed.
