Berto relinquishes IBF belt

Even if it is bull**** its a good stepping stone for getting/ trying to make better higher profile fights.

 

LOL @ the IBF pretending to have standards. They let Zab Judah keep that same Welterweight title a few years back after losing to Baldomir simply because Baldo didn't pay the sanctioning fee when the proper procedure was to declare the title vacant.

What's really stunningly amusing is that as bad as they are, they're still recently, demonstrably less corrupt/stupid/insane than the WBA and WBC.

 

Top Rank are protesting The IBF to have the Mike Jones - Sebastian Lujan fight be for the Vacant belt.

 

What about Khan vs Bailey for the ibf next year? haha I actually want to see that fight.

Maybe I'm crazy but I don't think that's all that bad. But, Bailey/Zaveck would be another fair fight for that title, all things considered.

This is ****ing ridiculous. The IBF sanctions some of the silliest title fights in history, and they often appoint worse mandatories than any other organization. And yet, Berto has to vacate in order to fight a legit guy he had a great fight with???????????????

Well to be fair if the belt is given to the winner of Mike Jones - Sebastian Lujan, they will have to fight Bailey as a mandatory.

 

I hope it would go more like this,

Pac vs floyd for wbc/wbo
jones vs bailey for ibf winner fights ortiz/berto 2
brook vs senchenko wba belt, winner fights khan.
