Pac would KO berto. If this guy can't even pull himself away from the likes of Collazo, then pac is not for him
26 years old could easily be a fighters prime. Why not ask for pacman? These days all the big fights happen once the fighters reach the age of 30. Imagine if Ali got his first crack at Liston in 1970...
i didn't specify whether or not i think he's still good. all i wrote is that i'd prefer to see pac-berto. if i had to guess, i'd say he's still a good fighter and would be a respectable contender well short of the best in the division.
Berto clearly does not have the chin to deal with Pac. And Pac's speed will make it very difficult for him to clinch. Berto found out after being in very tough fights with Estrada and Collazo who are not serious punchers that his chin could not take inside fighting, so he started to clinch excessively. It seems like in almost every fight Berto has suffered from this vulnerability. Pac is probably the worst possible matchup for Berto.
Pac would Ko berto early it would almost be as bad as the hatton fight. No disrespect but if quintana can find him with the left and wobble him slightly what do you imagine pac is going to do to him ? He is almost invincible only guy that stands a chance is mayweather. Look at what he did to cotto look how he shutout clottey both quality fighters especially cotto, if that doesn't convince you just how good pac is nothing will. I'd pick floyd to pot shot / run his way to a points decision over pac though.Only way I see pac beating mayweather is if he catches him late on with a good shot.
Dont hold your air waiting on Pac to fight Berto. Berto hasnt got smashed in his last couple of fights so he isnt qualifed to fight pac All jokes aside, Its funny how some fighters should just ignore young guns calling them out, while others are bashed even when the young guns dont call them out.
Berto aint fighting no Pacquiao right now. he s just putting his name out there as way of selling himself. elite by association. theyre just selling him as being in the same catergory. no way they throw him out their to pacquiao- if he lost- he d crash to earth and no one would touch his stock again. they have to build him up a bit more- build a decent fan base- THEN they can cash out and pit him against the best, not only is he better by then- but he s also established- and should he lose- he still has a career in events- like cotto does, and hatton. This is the way of the boxing management world now. they never throw a guy in for a world title at 25- let alone 21 anymore- those days are past. now its about building a brand- then risking it AFTER youre established- not before. its the model top rank used to build all their stars and i think its the way thats here to stay.
