they know it and theyre just playing along. its right up there with all the other steps step 11. Beat a fighter that a name fighter has already recently Beaten step 12. start calling out established star fighters- that you have no intention of fighting- but want perception to hold you as being on par with. perhaps even a retired fighter. step 13. beat regional belt holder stars with good fan bases, i.e mexicans, brits, irish, jews, etc. to absorb THEIR fan base. step 14. call out and beat a faded and semi-retired fighter- ala Barrera, Hatton, Castillo, Judah, Jones, etc. This is a big one- dont forget this step. they all do this one. and so on, so right now he s nicely sitting at step 12. This is probably at about the level David Haye is also at, in terms of his career. I think btw- that this is why the Super Six is so refreshingly different. a title one day, none hte next, and by the next fight- you could a different title.
after Money beats Sugar maybe Bertos camp will feel that Mosely is ripe for the pickens. But then again why not wait till Yuri gets pounded in June and Cottos fanbase is once again brought to life. There you go-- the negotiations with Arum and Golden Boy can begin. Either one of those guys would beat Berto like a pinata. Pacquiao would eat him up like a plate of chicken adobo.
Berto's promoters knows whats good for their fighter, its all marketing, they know Pac will beat their guy, and that it wont happen anyways.
Williams and his team keep insisting that Paul can still make 147. If he really can make weight, he should go after Berto, take his title, and then try to force a fight with Floyd.
Berto came to the ring with Soulja Boy (what does he think he is??? a 16 year old girl??)....Im sorry but that right there ruined any crediblily this guy had before hand. Feed him to Pac and get him out of here. By the way.... Collazo WON.
same thing with Mayweather actually. The Floydettes consider the fight as a formality of the outcome already known. Infact that is the reason some floydettes use when discussing why Money never fought some fighters.
agree with a couple on here, he should fight margo first, then loser of mayweather/mosley. hes not just ready to take a pac fight yet.
I'd like to see Berto take on Pacquiao, he is a world champion after all! I think he'd lose personally but it wouldn't be the end of the world for him plus Pac would even things up if he had his title assuming Money beats Mosely!
when you are on top, every boxer around your weight class would aim for a shot at beating you. its no wonder that people around PACs weight are calling him out, more so than PBF. Berto is just one of many. its the playoffs out there, more to come.
