Flea's got it right. Nand is produced by the body but in absolute minuscule quantities so raised levels are obviously a red flag! I'd say it's a contamination issues tbh. Nandrolone is the stupidest thing to dope with, it's detected easily & stays in the system for up to 18 months
"USADA also collects longitudinal data that allows us to monitor any fluctuations in an athlete's own biological parameters and closely examine any changes or indicators," USADA said. "(USADA) can also confirm that for the (May 5) Mayweather vs. Cotto fight, all of the samples collected from both fighters underwent CIR testing."
Gabriel Montoya™ ‏@Gabriel_Montoya This is excellent news for Team Berto. I wonder if there is time to save the fight? #boxing Gabriel Montoya™ ‏@Gabriel_Montoya Andre Berto update part 3: ultra-trace amount levels are consistent with contamination not intent. #boxing Gabriel Montoya™ ‏@Gabriel_Montoya Cont. I've been reading some interesting Conte tweets about Alex Ariza avoiding VADA: Victor Conte ‏@VictorConte His lack of interest in VADA is RT @Ben2012_London Do you believe Ariza's mood swings & bluster are a sign of trying to hide something? Victor Conte ‏@VictorConte I believe Ariza fears VADA RT @moysanjr: @mastakneegrow is that why ariza can't stop attacking you? Must be hiding something
I don't know. I find him an interesting character. Don't get me wrong, he's a scumbag in that he approached athletes and was a salesman for PEDS, but he understands these things from the point of view of the athlete and chemist who are using banned substances, has very real insight into the scale of the problem and apparently is more than happy to speak his mind. If anything, I think the insight from people like Conte and Heredia (Marquez's coach) are pretty invaluable. I mean: - an athlete is never going to admit doping - a trainer isn't going to grass on their fighter - a promoter isn't going to grass on the sport - the governing bodies are as corrupt as anything in sport, so they would rather turn a blind eye With that in mind, other than guys like Conte, who is really going to inform the public about these things.
There's a good interview I'm sure a lot of people have seen, with Martin Bashir and Conte he seems pretty open and honest not shying away from any questions. Guess it is good in a way that he can open up the problem of doping in sports - not so good that he encouraged it - hence why he is scum.
Yep. Well worth a watch: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKqAUm1Tjek[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t10PBhVYTmg[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1npYx14_JRc[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7j-ta4jqNQ4[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d43xFW8oCKE[/ame]
It's great to see this level of testing today. Pity it wasn't around when guys were fighting 15 plus rounds back in the day.
I can't stand Conte. I think he's a complete scumbag, who isn't just providing his customers with drugs, I think it's likely he's selling athletes illegal PEDs as legal products. He is tarnishing their reputation as honest athletes, which isn't fair. He's a guy who has cheated in the past, massively profits if his athletes excel and boasts about tests being easy to pass - why would anyone believe him? I hate to say this because I'm a fan of Donaire, but I think it's likely Conte has given him illegal products. I'd say the same about Ward, Judah and others too. If I was a boxer facing any of these, I'd want testing on an unprecedented scale because I highly doubt any of them are clean.
