Berto v Collazo on Jan 17. Is this the next logical step in Berto's career or can Collazo ruin it all?

Where would Berto go if he wins? Cotto v Margarito 2 is already signed up for the summer.

    Berto v Cintron anyone?

Berto UD over Collazo IMO, and Berto vs Cintron would be a tough fight, but i see Berto winning by UD.

Berto will certainly see an increase in the level of opposition. After he beats Collazo, Cintron would be a good test but Mosley could potentially be the target depending on how he fairs against Margo.

So far away do you reckon that Berto is from a mega fight (unification)?

I'd say 3 or 4 fights against quality opposition.

Tough to say since he's fighting in the most dramatic division in boxing. It seems that Cotto and Margo are a lock to fight each other next summer which means the earliest Berto could fight one of them is next winter. The winner probably will then set their sights on PBF should he return, Pac should he move up again, De La Hoya if he keeps fighting, or possibly PTP if he can lure them. The most logical unification then would be a fight against Clottey which I very much see as a realistic possibility maybe by the Summer 09 at the earliest.

I'm a big Berto fan but i'm to sure he beats Clottey. Tough matchup for him IMO. But he could pull it out I think.

With 1 or 2 more fights I think so too however if they were to fight now I'd give the edge to Clottey.

berto vs clottey is the best fight to make and would be a great fight between to fighters with great skills.you thought forbes and berto was interesting put clottely 5 punch combs with the peek a boo defence vs berto 5 punch combo with the shouler rolls.thats what im waiting for.

The Cintron fight will be nice...Cintron definitely has the puncher chance in this fight as Berto been rocked by lesser hitters and dropped(by the Great Mexican hope:-:)rofl 30-10-2' Cosme Rivera)....
