Berto TKO WINS

quit hating! berto has heavy hands and great hand speed. his defense is improving. it's foolish to even suggest that he won't be a force in the division. i think he's already better than quintana right now. i rank him about equal to margarito at the moment, even at this early stage of his career. only paul the punisher and cotto would beat him in my opinion. if he fought margarito or mosley this year it would be a neck and neck fight. he would starch all the good 2nd tier WW fighters (e.g. quintana, judah, etc.).

I'm a massive Berto fan. Not saying he will be great, but i really enjoy watching him fight.

I think in time he represents the toughest fight in the division for Cotto, provided he can be stepped up gradually still.

 

next for berto should be either quintana, judah, collazo, or cintron maybe clottey no exceptions

 

didnt kellerman say that rodriguez had only fought three times in the last three years ? how the hell was this kid ranked #2 by the wbc? berto needs to start fighting top tier competition!

 

I agree. I think what he is lacking is foot work. He has great hand speed and puts very nice combinations together, but he needs better foot work to compliment the hand speed. IMO the fight was boring, as are his other fights. I said this before this fight; we know what will happen when he fights C level opposition. With a division so deep, its time he steps up to better competition. I say bring on Cintron!

 

I loved the look on rodriguez's face after the first KD...like "OOOOOHHH SNAP, you got me good!"

 

i think this guy is very talented but idk as far as the elite ww.. can he "bang" with the "big boys" we will see hopefully soon :bbb
