Hopefully Carlos studied tape and heeds the blueprint of his fellow slickster (and fellow WW underdog) Collazo.

That was mostly an inside battle and Quintana likes to box from the outside so I doubt he'll be copying what Collazo did there.

quintana was amazing vs PW in that he was fighting from the outside but berto will be fast. gonna be interesting to see how Quintana and company plan this. I hope he pulls out the W

I don't think it's a "last chance", the guy only has two losses, against GREAT fighters, one of which he beat first time around.

Quintana is extremely underrated, he is an A-level fighter IMO. However, I think it's a bad style matchup against Berto and he'll lose.

Slicksters have trouble with guys who are faster than them.

I don't think it will be a good fight at all. When was the last time Q fought at 147? The good thing is that Berto is getting back to fight WW's not JRW's. This should be a tune-up for bigger things for Berto.

this..though i wouldn't consider Quintana a "tune up" by any means...I do think he is a solid start en route to fighting the top 10 in the WW division...BTW...MOSLEY IS A WW AND IF NOT FOR A QUAKE IN HAITI HE WOULD HAVE ALREADY FOUGHT THE BEST WW IN THE WORLD

Bigger things include Mosley, PBF, and of course Pac. I was well aware of the tragedy and very proud of all Berto has been doing for his country as well as others. Aside that, I think Mosley would have beaten Berto. My point is that Q hasn't fought at 147 in how long? I thought he was going to stay contesting at 154. It is just going to be a decent name on Berto's record.

I'm not sure meeting the faster Berto jab for jab from outside is the best move, though. Collazo isn't necessarily an infighter by trade, that's just where he found success. Quintana also didn't necessarily serve himself trying to circle and box Cotto, who may be heavier handed than Berto but certainly isn't fleeter of hand or foot.

Quintana can both box and fight. Even as skilled as he is, trying to outbox a pure athlete like Berto seems like an uphill struggle.

after watching some quintana videos i am impressed, i believe the key to beating carlos is pressure and dont let him get into his rhythm on the outside.

I'm extremely interested in this fight. Quintana is an excellent test for Berto and has a real shot to win if Berto underestimates him.
