He really needs a fight like a Cintron or at worst take Jan Zaveck's belt off him so you have some more tools to bring to the table when trying to coax the name fighters into the ring. he's wasted so much of HBO money through fighting fighters basically who werent upto scratch (not that its Berto's fault)

  2. Who the **** are you??

Randall Bailey, look him up on youtube at least. Its not like he's totally obscure, he's got an entire career of highlight reel worthy KOs with one of the sweetest right hands in the business. :deal

It doesn't make sense from Berto or JMM's POV to be taking a risky fights at this time. One will fight Pac next after Mosley for a lot of money, the other one rightafter.

Rumor that Berto will face the winner of that rematch. If he is going to say beating Cintron does nothing, how can he justify that?

Berto has the chips stacked against him though, mainly he is not a Top Rank fighter. We have to be careful not to trust what Arum says as he is full of **** 99% of the time he opens his mouth. I doubt he has any interest whatsoever at matching Pac with Berto as things stand right now.

Berto destroys Cintron and all of us are SCREAMING for the fight with Pac. That noise is far more deafening than another useless tuneup, undercard fight for Berto followed by him crossing his fingers that the Bobfather picks him for Manny's November fight. It's not happening.

I'm Ok I guess with the Cintron fight, but what the **** has Cintron done to deserve a shot at the WW title? I mean he's lost essentially every big fight he's had, has he fought since the Paul Williams debacle? He brings nothing to the table, he has everything to gain and nothing to lose, on the flip Berto has nothing to gain and everything to lose. I mean Cintron is a decent fighter and on any given night could give anyone trouble, I just think it's a **** fight from Berto's perspective.

    Hadn't heard. :think

As far a a potential fight against Cintron, I completely support that fight. Cintron, imo, represents the appropriate level of opposition in which Berto should be testing himself against at this stage of his career; not the Cotto's, Pac's, and Mayweather's of the division who would all likely expose him.

  8. Cintron would knock berto out

I wouldnt mind seeing the winner step up against Berto. It would be the same category as Cintron.

I would say Clottey next but after his last performance i dont care to see him.

Deserve a shot with a guy who hasn't done squat? :huh

Yeah, with Berto geting valuable TV dates and big paydays to fight C level comp, no **** from his persepctive it's ****, because Cintron is a threat and can derail that gravy train.

Is that what boxing is now? Take easy fights to make sure you don't miss out on a future payday? Since when did fans allow that?

Competely agree. This fight feeds into the natural progression a fighter must take. Basically, Berto wants to fight the JV's only, by-pass the top Varsity, and expect to play for the national title...so to speak.

Not mad about this he is facing a real puncher who besides that DQ was killing that ranked guy in an eliminator

Id prefer this over Aydin anyday who is his mando

Plus Manny, Shane, Alexander, Bradley and Floyd are all unavailible

Cintron is at 154 and Berto could probably be 140

    who else is out there

maybe Zavek for a unification but i doubt HBO would do it
