I tend to agree that Berto should be brought along gradually just like he has. The level of his opponents have steadily increased but a fight against Mosley after facing Forbes would by far represent the biggest jump in opposition that Berto has ever faced. I would prefer a fight against Collazo first before facing a legend like Mosley but Shane's best days are clearly behind him and this might be a perfect time for Berto to upset him while the public still views him as not completely shot. I think Shane's performance against Cotto is still on peoples minds so a victory against him for Berto would be a great accomplishment.

Berto's still not quite a bigger threat than Mayorga. Obviously they're not cut from the same cloth stylistically, but Berto's still flawed enough that's he's at or below Ricardo's level. And head to head...there was talk of Mayorga-Berto some time in the last year and a majority of knowledgable said such a match spelled doom for Berto and his handlers would be wise to not even consider it for a moment.

Damn,a very good match-up.Not sure who wins it,still go for the Sugar man but it might be Berto's breakthrough performance.

I have to respectfully disagree. Mayorga's biggest attribute over the years was his sturdy chin and it's clear that it's not what it once was. His granite chin was a key for him because he was and is so easy to hit. Offensively his punches are all wide so they can all be seen. Mayorga also has poor stanima and starts fading in the middle rounds. Berto on the other hand, has improved is defence with a descent shoulder roll and won't be as easy to hit as Mayorga was. Offensively he throws punches form all angles with good power and his handspeed might be the best in all of boxing. Berto stanima is clearly superior to Mayorga as Beryo still throws hard fast punches in the late rounds. Mosley would get touched up pretty good against Berto so his old legs would certainly be tested.

Margo wouldve dominated and stopped Mosley at this stage, he either thought he was due more money or Mosley wasnt a challenge, personally I think its about money..

Berto - Mosley is a more interesting, more even match anyway. Berto is obviously talented but is relatively untested. MOsley would test him and boost his profile. I think as Mosley is clearly past his peak, I think Berto will win over 12. Berto UD.

I agree....he has to take off the training wheels sometime if he is going
    to be a serious player.

I still think your avatar is the best I have seen.....

Shane has real KO power and Berto's is make believe. I think that Berto is actaully a tougher fight for Shane to win then Margo would be. Because of the fast hands. Im kinda leaning towards Berto to win a UD if he dont get knockedout. I dont think that Shane can win a dec in this fight.
