Someone needs to explain to Max Kellerman what a shut-out is.

Even after hearing the results of three judges and seeing harold's card, he continued in the interview with Berto to talk about "pitching a shutout."

There was no doubt who won the fight, but Max and Lennox were way off on the scoring.

Round 12 was clearly a Urango round. I also give him three others.

The ref was the worst I've seen since David Paris assisted Ricky Hatton in his win over Tszyu.

He kept warning Berto, but no point deduction for the interminable, Ruizesque grappling moves (Not just regular holding, but locking his opponents arms above the elbows, judo style) that continued throughout the fight.

The shame of it is that Berto has great speed and good talent and could have won the fight far more convincingly IF HE HAD A REAL TRAINER !!!

He's headed for a major defeat as soon as he steps up to the top level.

The only good news for him is that he's still young, still learning, and can still change his trainer.

I had Urango winning three rounds, but that is not a shutout. I agree, Max was wrong.

Yeah that was awful ****ing advice by his trainer. You can even hear him telling Berto to "hold him, but do it really quickly so the ref won't dock you for it"... something to that degree..

Berto didn't need to do that. He could've easily used some footwork, some movement and then let loose with those fluid combos as Urango comes in. His handspeed and workrate would've got him the easy decision win. Instead he fights like a hoe and HBO will now probably be hesitant to showcase him again. He never had a problem with holding before tonight. Fire that dumbass trainer. What a horrible gameplan. Yeah it got the win, but how many fans did Berto lose with that pathetic performance?

Yeah.......and the ref was warning Berto almost every round, yet did nothing to stop it.

I had it 116-112 Berto, clear win for Berto, not even close to a shutout.

    I had the same score.

(Not counting point deductions that should have been taken.)

HBO are becoming too involved. Hyping their 'prospects' into 'products'. What's the point? Let the fighters fight and if a star emerges then so be it.

Berto is the biggest disgrace in boxing today. He outboxed a 140lber that RICKY HATTON had already completely OUTBOXED. He almost lost to Collazo, who Hatton knocked down on the way to a UD (not to mention Hatton has no buisiness at 147). If he is not going to switch trainers he needs to step it up now, he's ready now or never. There is no point delaying the big show downs, he is at his absolute physical peak. Look for Mosley or Cotto to punish him.

Agreed. I think I wound up giving Urango 3 rounds for a 117-111 card; it was pretty clear it wasn't a shutout. My guess is the fight got enough people bored out of their gourds that they just automatically gave Berto every round so they wouldn't have to think too hard about what they were witnessing.

I gave Urango a couple of rounds as well. I might've given him more but I kind of zoned out after a while and quit trying to score the action. It was just too boring to really concentrate on what was going on for the full 12.

You're right tell him to watch Urango-Hatton THAT was a shutout.
And so the biggest and longest whinge in modern boxing goes on.
