Hatton's inside attack consists mostly of him throwing one punch and then wrestling. Berto will actually throw punches on the inside, multiple punches. I don't get all this Collazo hype, I would have no problem picking Berto over him.

Thats nothing ... he can take that off during camp ...

His face isn't even all that fat ... I don't like to see fighters drinking though ... that shows a lack of discipline.

Yes, it consists of cheating, basically. But it works against a lot of fighters, so it's effective. Berto doesn't really fight using a strategy, he improvises and overwhelms opponents with his speed. He wouldn't have much success against Collazo on the inside, because he would constantly be tagged coming in. Also, even though his punches are very fast, they're also predictable and not difficult to see coming if you're a solid B level counterpuncher like Collazo. Berto would be fighting Collazo's fight.. no doubt about it. His typical in and out, speedy combinations/potshots routine wouldn't work here, he would need to improve to beat someone like Collazo.

Collazo struggled against Mosely's speed...Berto is faster, and at WW a bigger puncher. Berto eats him alive.

We are looking at Collazo vs Hatton, but ignoring a more recent version of Collazo vs Mosely....where he was beaten to the punch ALL NIGHT LONG and was ineffective everytime he got inside. Berto is much more cut in the mold of Mosely than he is of Hatton.

The Hatton fight happened on the inside because THAT is where Ricky brought it (and addmittingly struggled)...vs Mosely it stayed on the outside because Shane made it happen there. Collazo is not good at setting the pace or style of a fight...he does not make his opponents fight HIS fight.

Again, Berto is much too fast, strong and powerful for Luis. Id pick Berto by TKO mid rounds (6-9) in a fight where he is already WAY ahead.

That picture may spell doom for Collazo. If this fight takes place in a few months. Collazo is a boxer and has no power. He hurt Hatton due to Hatton really being a JW. I think this would be the biggest test for Berto, but which Collazo is going to show up. With Berto's speed and fancy combos vs Collazo's pure boxing and slickness, I would go 50/50 especially after seeing that picture.

THe liquor in hand did it for me ... but I don't think that highly of Berto so it doesn't matter if "Louie" has a drink every now and again because Berto is no PBF, SSM, Paul Williams, or Cotto --

But Fitz you overrate Collazo too much, I remember you saying Collazo would beat Miguel Cotto.

A lot of people overrate Collazo. The guy is known for his two losses. What kind of fighter gets propped up for losing?

Zab is a 3 time(soon to be 4 time) world champion. He's also the former undisputed WW champion. Unfortunately he got some bad breaks against Tszyu, Spinks, Baldo, Cotto, and Mayweather. The Baldo loss was bad, but the others were against 3 future HOF'ers and a two division champ and former undisputed champ(Spinks). Meanwhile, Collazo's best win was beating El Gallo for the WBA regular title(Ironically, Zab Judah was the real WBA champ at the time). He was also almost shut out against old Mosley and lost to Ricky Hatton who was making his debut at 147.

I think Zab is overrated, he lost all his big fights. But he only win came against Spinks
