WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (25-0, 11KOs) makes his welterweight debut on July 17 against the dangerous Carlos Abregu (29-0, 23KOs). If Bradley is able to get past Abregu, a possible fight with WBC champion Andre Berto (26-0, 20KOs) has been mentioned to him by promoter Gary Shaw.

    agreed,it will be a
Good fight, but Bradley has unfinished business at 140.He needs to fight Khan and Alexander before he fights Berto.

These fights (with Khan and Alexander) will take place when the times right. A bout against Berto (which is a pretty good one) doesn't mean he's ducking Alexander or any of the other 140 pounders.

People need to chill, and be a little more patient

All those other things aside, this seems like it would be a great bout.

You can easily defend him. He's moving up clearly to secure fights with the likes of Mayweather, Pacquiao and other far more dangerous opponents. He's looking to fight Berto, the WBC champion, in his first fight to make sure he has a belt in the bag to attract those big names.

Berto represents an equally dangerous opponent for Bradley and he would make a lot more money.

Alexander and Bradley are just padding their resumes before fighting in a year or two.

Bradley has unfinished business with Alexander before he even thinks about going Berto.

I wouldn't call the Bradley and Alexander issue unfinished business. It's not even begun.

They've got plenty of time to get it on. If not down at 140, then they'll settle it at 147.

That only works if by some stretch of the imagination Alexander is a better scalp then Berto, and I'm not sure that's true.

Agree, which means more money, fame and better opponents for him. I would love to see him fight Alexander though.

I like this fight a lot. Sure, Alexander-Bradley is the preference, but if this fight gets made and if Alexander were to fight Maidana, who wouldn't be happy with that?

I can't believe most here still defend Bradley. I knew this will happen in which Bradley will never fight Alexander. At this moment Bradley vs Alexander is the biggest fight in junior welterweight division but if Berto beats Bradley then Bradley vs Alexander wouldn't be a big fight down the road in which it will ruined everything. You know what? F4ck Bradley. I hope Berto just ko him like there's no tommorow. I'm sick of Bradley acting like he's a huge star.

Berto is a better fighter than Alexander. It's pretty irrational to get on Bradley's case for going up in weight and fighting a better fighter than Alexander. Furthermore, none of this is even set in stone. It seems like a lot of these fights will hinge on whether or not Mayweather vs. Pacquiao happens.
