Can this fight be done anytime soon? A good contrast of styles of offense vs. defense. Berto desperately needs a to name on his resume other than Collazo. Anybody interested in this fight? I'd probably give the edge to Berto, but I'm not to sure.

Clottey is now a 154 fighter and it's about bloody time!! However, i don't think Clottey can beat anyone significant at 154 except maybe Bundrage. He gets beaten by Collazo, Martinez, Cintron, Angulo, Yuri Foreman etc etc

    My take on the fight:

If Berto chooses to stick and move he can win a comfortable decision.

If he fights in an uncomposed manner then he would struggle but still get a razor thin decision... the late rounds would be very difficult for him

Clottey would likely win, imo. A much better fighter. Before the Pacquiao fight, where the best offensive fighter in the world made him look like absolute ****, I think most of us would favor him too.

Out of that list of fighters, Martinez is the only certain defeat, imv.

Clottey's more than capable of defeating the rest of those names.

BTW, I'd slightly favor Clottey over Berto, at this stage.

Clottey throws 5 punches a round, Berto throws 60. Berto Swamps him easily.

Berto by decision. Wouldn't stop him, but would outwork a solidly tucked up static Clottey.

No doubt he's exaggerated, but under pressure Clottey does have a tendency to do tuck up like a turtle and not throw.

Frustrating to watch him refuse to throw more against the likes of Cotto.

Against an opponent the caliber of Miguel Cotto, he threw an average of fifty-one punches per round, over 12. Against an opponent the caliber of Urango from light welterweight Berto threw an average of 54 punches per round over 12. We have no idea what Berto throws with someone of Clottey's or Cotto's caliber, let alone a Pacquiao. I can't judge on that fight for sure.
