Their is a chance of a Berto vs Cotto matchup for a unification sometime in the future so I was wondering how some of you see this panning out if they were to meet.

IMO I see it going the same was as Taylor vs Chavez. The flashy guy with the fast hands giving Cotto trouble most of the fight with Cotto slowly breaking him down and brutally taking him out in the late rounds (between 10-12). Hopefully, Berto doesn't suffer the same decline though.

Yeah after the Collazo affair, I don't think they want to put him within a mile of Cotto.

Taylor has amazing stamina and a pretty damn sturdy chin to be dealing with Chavez the way he did for that long...no way is this fight going to be like that.

I see it more like. Cotto vs. Judah.

Nah.......it will be like Cotto vs. Mosely

They will both have their moments and it will be a great fight

    Cotto should win.

    and like Berto said:

"Collazo is a monster dont get it twisted"

I CAN see the comparison and i do believe it would be a great action packed fight BUT chavez and taylor were both very skilled fighters opposed to where Berto still has a way to go(he headhunts a lot) and Cotto is getting there/is there already(depending how u see it). I think Cotto's experience and commitment to the body would stop Berto.

Like Varg said, it will be more like Cotto vs Zab. How much more time does a champion need to fight like a champion? Let the kid get in there is see what he has to offer. Speed, movement, and that nice uppercut could change things.

I don't think you can compare, because when you look at it Meldrick Taylor actually had that fight won, But when Berto and Cotto fights I can actually see Berto hurting Cotto a lot and may can get a flash knockdown against Cotto, but Cotto is a better technical fighter and have a advantage of stopping Berto in a later round!!!

Awful comparison. I would say Margarito VS Cotto was more like Chavez Vs Taylor. Cotto/Berto is a fight all on its own Cotto an agressor with boxing skills that has endurance issues while Berto on the otherhand is a sharp flashy puncher with nice speed and also has endurance issues.
