Let's see what Cotto has left. He was bloodied and beat up far worse than Margarito was IMO. Cotto was running for his life in those last few rounds and had been seriously hurt against Corley and Torres in the past. If he looks impressive against Jennings than he should win this but if not I wouldn't be so confident in doing so. I think this is the perfect opportunity for Berto after seeing how Cotto lost last year. I'm sure Berto learned a lot against Collazo and I expect him to comeback even better and slowly progress. Can't say the same about Cotto because he was beat up against Margarito so it's all about what he has left. In there last fights Berto should learn a lesson and Cotto got beat up while learning a lesson.

Berto has good speed/power and if he stays sharp and smart he could put it on Cotto.

It's not that Miguel Cotto can't see uppercuts, it's just that his stance leaves him wide open for them and his trainers did a bad job on teaching him how to protect himself from them, after that Margarito fight you can be sure his camp will teach him how to guard himself and maneuver out of the way from them.

Nice one, I was going to say the same exact thing but I realize it is not a fair comparison because Miguel Cotto was obviously weight drained, and it was like two years or more ago, and the Berto fight was recently. Miguel Cotto has improved as a fighter and Berto won't have enough to learn how to properly protect himself. So it is not a fair comparison.

I know he was open to uppercuts before Margarito, Zab stunned him in the 1st round with one, but his trainers didn't do anything about it, but since Margarito was doing it so much, they can review the tapes and see that that was one of the factors as to why Margarito was so dominate. I said his stance leaves him open for it, his defense is not appreciated though, he isn't the best defensive fighter, but he is pretty slick. My point is that he can see the uppercuts he just doesn't know how to defend them.

WOW, I can't believe I'm even discussing this with someone who doesn't even know boxing from a purist perspective. I box, and i help train others, I know what I'm taking about. I think you might need a little tuning up and watch boxing closer.

If Cotto looks like his old self against jennings in feb. Based on Berto's last perfomance I don't see berto passing the 4th round. Cotto early stoppage

Win or lose...I bet he gets all busted-up by Micheal Jennings:deal[/quote]

Bet we don't see you around for a month or two after the fight. That or you'll change your name and avatar and continue posting crap like this.

This should be a good fight. Berto needs to step up his competition. although i think cotto will win this fight. I can't count out berto cuz he does have power to hurt cotto. Cotto has been down before and he was knockout by margarito so i'll give berto a puncher's chance. If it goes 12 rounds then i think cotto wins by decision.

Cotto would destroy his ribcage. Berto is not ready to fight Miguel Cotto.

Berto beat Collazo. I believe two of the judges had the correct score, 114-113.

If people want to pick Cotto, that's fine. However, the Collazo fight wouldn't be of much relevance in regards to a fight between Cotto and Berto.

Cotto should fight Berto and get a belt, then a rematch with Shane so some one can unify the belts

Could go either way. I had it 114-113 also, all depends how you score the first round as the other rounds were pretty clear for the most part.
