Kotelnik is a decent fighter, very well respected on the Euro stage and he has a win over Maidana and gave Khan a good fight.Although I think Berto will win I dont think he will make the statement he his planning to by stopping Kotelnik.I see it being a hard night for very little gain reputation wise.

I don't see the article on the Scene. There's nothing wrong with this fight as long as it's at 140.

Its not main artical but in thread my bad.

few lines are here when asked about Berto...

King said that he and Lou DiBella have made a verbal agreement for a fight between rugged Andriy Kotelnik, coming off a close but impressive defeat at the hands of Devon Alexander, and undefeated Andre Berto

    .

“I just spoke to HBO. Kotelnik can be ready for November, no problem,” King said. “I'm keeping the kid here, keeping him at my training camp in Ohio. He trained there to fight Devon. That was a great fight last Saturday night in St. Louis but Devon won it.”

I asked King if he was sure Kotelnik would be ready so soon after going 12 hard rounds with the unbeaten Alexander.

“Hell, yes, we want that Berto fight,” King said.

Berto, from what I remember and my scorecard was getting outboxed by Quintana for the most part. I think it was very close on my card at the knockout, but I was far more impressed with an over the hill Quintana than I was with the supposed up and coming, brilliant talent and future PPV star that is Berto.

Berto is fast becoming a joke, but I've thought this for a hell lot longer than now.

At least Kotelnik is getting something for his performance against Alexander so I can't complain.

Yeah sure: Kotelnik is getting a reward/payday but in reality it is another case of HBO protecting one of their invented cash-cows, who once again will have all the physical advantages, taking on a smaller guy. TYPICAL!!!

Berto is carrying on mayweathers legacy as the wbc champ who defends against everyone except anyone who is a threat in his weight class.

It should be a non-title fight.

HBO has nothing to do with it, the promoters want it so they negotiate.
