for some reason, i'm getting the feeling that berto might stop urango. i see him blasting him with something urango doesn't see coming and finishing him off. that would be a big statement too, but i'll stick with berto by decision.

Technically McGirt was the first to stop Maliggnagi. :huh

I think it's a good fight that Berto will easily UD, I only picked TKO because I think there might be an early stoppage by the ref/doc/corner. Pauli's proven too tough to go down over the years, but you know what happens to guys like that, one day they just drop.

Berto may TKO Urango, although it's unlikely, but it will be a right uppercut that does it, and not just because that's Berto's favorite and most telegraphed punch, but because Urango will be open for it several times during the fight.

Unfortunately for Berto, it may not be enough, and if Urango manages to stay on top of him and forces a brawl, Berto won't have room to operate and with his lack of defense, Urango may knock him out.

Berto doesn't have the footwork to keep Urango away for the entire match, so he needs to get his respect, but Urango is tough and will be determined to stay on Berto.

It's a hard fight. Berto has elite handspeed and flashy combinations, but he's not an elite fighter.

    But Malinaggi.....

Berto will eat a lot of punches, but he'll land the harder, flashier blows, and might win by TKO.

No, nowhere in my post do I say that Berto is incapable of headlining at BAD card. He's doing it in a little more than two weeks from today. What I plainly said is that Malignaggi is not an opponent likely to get approval after his dismal performance last November against Hatton. Plus, I predicted that Mike Alvarado will probably beat him on 6/27. Given these two conditions, I just don't see how he would get a bout like that.

Other than both guys being promoted by DiBella, I just don't think it's that great of a fight or one that would garner much approval from either HBO or the fans.

This is a very bad style match up for Paulie, he would probably end up getting stopped again, and that's not something easy to do to him.

Good fight for who? Why would Berto waste his time with Paulie especially if he beats Urango. Paulie needs to take on another tune-up and challenge one of the 140 title holders. Berto really needs to rematch Collazo and then start banging on the doors of the big dogs.
