Berto vs Margarito

There are some interesting questions here regarding Margarito particularly 1)suppose he's been using loaded gloves for a while, is he really all that good? and 2) how will his formerly granite chin be post-Mosley massacre?

I think Margarito still might be too much for Berto as I don't think too highly of Berto at this point and Margarito has some characteristics that will trouble Berto. Berto has shown stamina issues against guys who don't bring the heat like Margarito, it would only get worse against Margarito. Berto seems to be a little bit chinny and if Margo does have legit power that would be a huge problem.

I'd envision Berto would try to use Shane's smothering strategy (like he did against Urango) far less successfully and Margarito KO's him in the end.

 

Honestly I don't know how good either of these guys is, one thing for sure though, Berto will catch Margacheato Clean with alot of bombs.

 

Wow these two are mysteries! Berto is overated, and Margo is unratable right now. All I know is I can't stand either of these bitches. This one should be named "UNLIKEABLE"

 

I'm of the opinion the Marge was using the loaded wraps for a while. How is it that mayweather was able to atleast make mosely think about rushing in and throwing but the supposedly huge puncher in Margarito didn't slow mosely down one bit. And make no mistake Marge did touch mosely. Not alot but enough so that mosely could feel his power or lack there of. With no pop all Marge has is chin and output. Marge would make berto look like Ray Robinson. He can't miss marges chin and Marge would just keep coming for more but with no illegal power to stop berto.

 

Considering the same circumstance(Margarito without the plaster), Berto would still likely lose. His chin/resilience is nowhere near that of Shane, nor is his ring IQ.

 

berto is not shane mosley! berto would get his ass whooped!! Margo is no punk

 

I like the fight. It would test Berto's mettle while allowing us to see some flashy combinations thrown.

 

Alright, after watching an old Margarito training video on youtube he punches hard as a mutha****er plaster or not.

I think he'd KO Berto provided his chin isn't shattered from Mosley.

 

Berto has a terrible level of Ring IQ and I question his stamina. He would land a lot of big shots, but I can see him being worn out late. That said, Rockgloves is 0-1 without loaded wraps, so it's difficult to say who might win this one. A lot of unknowns.

 

Unless Margo is utterly impotent now, Berto would get ****ed.
