    This is from Steve Kim...

I was told by several sources that there were several key disagreements between the two camps

-Berto and Co, wanted a million dollar purse if they were forced to give up their WBC title( as Collazo is their mandatory

    - Also, Mosley and Co are insistent on this taking place in Vegas( not LA or New York)

    - A good source told me that HBO has called Top Rank today( perhaps to revisit the Margarito fight)

    - Now, things can change( and they've changed a few times already) but Berto will now focus on fulfilling his mandatory. And the thing is, with what was being offered to them by Mosley, they can make about the same amount of money for that fight than they would for Mosley. Also, they have visions of Pavlik-Hopkins in their minds, too

    - Question is, why is Jan 24th a cut-and-dried Mosley date on HBO based on his ratings and how his fight with Mayorga did in September? Shouldn't they be purchasing fights, not fighters?

But that's the way things stand as of right now.

Sounds like Golden boys are having issues capturing fights they want, Mosley should go after Marquez now LOL.

If I was Collazo, I would take step aside money due to getting the title shot as a mandatory right after a Berto vs Mosley fight. This way Collazo gets paid twice.

Good chance of Mosley winning this one, Berto's camp better keep complaining about the money.

Yup. Oktay Urkal did that twice (Hatton against Collazo, Cotto against Quintana) and ended up making more money outside of the ring than in it.

Mosley is still a popular fighter and having him fight on regular HBO is a good way to spark interest in boxing for the new year.

Margarito is more than likely holding out for the results of the De la Hoya/Pacquiao bout.

Berto should take this fight. He needs to prove that he deserves his place among the elite of the division. If he balks now and loses later down the line - he may not get another chance.

Most fans are likely hoping Margarito and Mosley can still come to terms. It looks like a possibility.

Berto should man up and stop trying to duck Collazo.

I get the feeling that neither Berto nor that pole smoker DiBella really want's to step up.

nah man... berto wanted that 1 million because they would have had to leave the belt behind...

which im assuming they didnt want to do... they would have only took that mosley fight if it was really worth it to him

so i take it he wanted to keep his belt
