too bad for berto. all that complaining had me rooting for quintana for a minute. berto loses against the best at 147 by stoppage. if he made it the distance with any one of the top welters i'd be surprised.

Yep. Very winnable fight for Berto at this point. Of Mayweather, Mosley, Pacquiao, Williams, and Cotto, I see Cotto as the most winnable fight for Berto. Cotto can be tagged and has been brutally beaten twice now. Good fight. I hope it happens.

I for the life of me cannot comprehend why HBO is still trying to sell this turkey. The seem convinced flashy handspeed is a major point of fascination for the fans. Like the only point of fascination.

that was a big shot at the tail end of many unanswered shots, his eyes rolled back on that last one. It was fine if you ask me.

I am happy they stopped. Quintana can now get his money and go home. There was not way they were going to allow him to win that fight anyways

You clearly do not understand the job of a referee.

When the ref stopped the fight quintana was still dazed and couldn't complain if he even wanted to. The crowd didn't Boo. It was a great call.

It's fans like you who will have fighters retire like vegetables just because you want them to go out on their backs.

Damn, so much hate for Berto.

He's an entertaining fighter.. strong, fast, rugged... the sport needs more guys like that..

Why does everyone want to see the young guys fail on ESB?

berto has speed and a bit of pop, but i think it's a tad overrated (his power, that is). if quintana had ANY right hand, he would have ko'd berto with that right hook. all night quintana countered him with that powder puff right hook. berto gets lazy with his jab after the first few rounds and quintana often countered that too. put him up there with selcuk aydin. would like to see that.
