Berto vs quintana: Who wins??

I'm not so sure about that. Collazo, like Quintana, is a slick south paw only he's a much tougher man. I wonder how Quintana, who quit on his stool against Cotto, would have dealt with some of the shots that Luis was able to absorb against Berto. I have an inkling that he can't deal with thoughs punches which is one of the reasons why I'm picking Berto by TKO.

 

Spot on, Quintana is a spoiler, but only if the other fighter is there for the taking. I think Berto is ready for this fight.

 

Quintana would have to school Berto as badly as he did Williams the first fight to get the decision, as Berto is HBO's boy. Otherwise he'll need the KO and I don't see that happening. Berto by UD or late tko.

 

You might have a point. But I dont think Berto hits like Cotto does.

 

there's a possibility of berto stopping q, but like you said, cotto has a lot meaner left hook than berto does

it would take more work of berto to wear down carlos

 

I've got Berto, i don't think he'll neglect the body and his combos are really sharp. Anything sloppy is going to get unstuck against Quintana, and Berto ain't sloppy.

 

I think Berto will stop him in the 7th.

 

There are a few factors: (besides what I mentioned in my first comment)

1. How much has Quintana left in the tank?
2. Is he being as dedicated or is he going to collect his last pay check?
3. Will making the 147lbs again affect him??

If he gets tired........

 

I'm thinking Berto stops him around round 7.

 

I think Berto wins a close one but I'm surprised the gap in the poll is so big for what I think is going to be a competitive fight.
