This is a double head butt.
First he comes in full blast, hitting him the jaw.

Very deliberate. Should have had pts deducted or a DQ.

Instead he got away withthat and got a W.

It kinda looked like it was under the ye. Did they stop it because of the cuts or swelling ?

Berto wins a world title with that performance though, that's the awful thing. How do you defend that?

I asked Holyfield, Ward, Bradley and Hopkins and they told me that Berto did nothing wrong.

I would like to know what the judges scorecards looked like after 5 rounds.

    Think about it folks.
This just seems to be the new style of boxing as refs allow it.
Bhop, Ward, Bradley, and now Berto.
Just come in head first and do some damage, and if u r not super blatant or have the right connections, ref will let you get away with it. Here Berto turned his head and then hit into Zavek's right eye--not real hard or very blatant, but enough to worsen what Berto saw was an already damaged eye! I think frankly this took practice!

Bhop lately hasn't done that so much due to how public his fouling became.

But it looks like Berto has copied this "winning style" from Ward and Bradley.

It ruins fights, I hate fights getting stopped earlier because of cuts and headbutts/

It doesnt look deliberate to me. Looks like he got pulled into Zaveck's chest caught a right and brought his head up to escape more. It happens. Also Zaveck pulls him down by the back of his head with his left then clocks berto with a right which i believe is illegal.

No he turned his head and then went back into his eye.
He turned his head first so as to not damage his own eye for what was coming!

After the fight they were showing some replays from it where berto clearly head butted zaveck. That's fukin awfull, especially that zaeveck was doing good in that fight and generally i liked those exchanges between both fighters. I hope there will be a rematch.

    True that.
This fight looked like it could have gone either way.
ANd it looked like Berto was not pacing himself well and was gassing at times. While Zavek's defense for Berto's punches was mostly working--except for the head butts.

what a lame excuse. The butt hit him in the jaw. They showed the punch that started the blood flowing on play back. Zaveck nor any commentator mentioned head butts at all.

Good find! I suspected Berto butted him and/or rubbed his head into his face, but I didn't catch it when I was watching on the small computer screen. The fight should be awarded to Zavek or at least declared no contest. Europeans need to start standing up when the American boxing gangsters pull their bull****.
