Besides Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao and the inactive Marquez, head to head (not based on resume) who the best welterweight around? :think

He went life and death with Chaves, Provodnikov, Marquez and lost to Pacquiao twice.

    The Special One™
would beat those four ham and eggers in the same night. :nod

Bradley, easily. Who has Brook beaten other than Porter? Seriously, this is no contest. Bradley is the best welterweight under your criteria.

Notice the term in the title 'head to head' and not resume. Fights aren't fought with resumes.

Not based on resume I think it's Thurman. Mostly because Bradley has been on the decline.

    And Brook...eh, I don't really see it.

    1/2 = Thurman/Brook

    3/4 = Porter/Maidana

Yes but just because we feel one guy beats 7 of the others listed doesn't mean we can't favor the worst guy on the list to defeat him... Styles, my friend.

Doesn't matter. Brook beats the lot. And if you struggle pick who'd beat most fighters.

    1. Mayweather
    2. Pacquiao

    3. Bradley

4/5/6/7. Maidana (rank this group in whatever order you like. little between them)
    4/5/6/7. Brook
    4/5/6/7. Khan
    4/5/6/7. Thurman

    8. Porter (pretty much hanging onto the group above)

    9. Chaves
    10. Alexander

Marquez pretty much retired...only good for a Pacquiao skrap these days.

Brook clearly, Bradley closest behind him, then Spence & Thurman.
