Besides wlad, which heavy looks in shape???

yeah but i would expect answers to focus on people who are 'relevant' to the division. hell, why not look for pics of people ranked in the 600's? im sure one or two are 'in shape'.

the obvious undertone of this thread was 'the heavies look like tubs of ****'. and its right too.

how many threads do you see that ask 'besides kelly pavlik, which middleweights look in shape?':deal

 

Tye Fields used to be very developed and cut, but he don't have that pumped up, defined, build these days. Same for Virchis.

I think both of these guys are now trained for performance, first and foremost, and must have realized that excess muscle was not giving as much benefit as it was causing a hinderance on their stamina.

These guys are a good example that a less defined and muscular physique does not mean that they are less in shape, as far as cardio endurance and stamina goes.

 

I didnt catch his last fight, but the reason I chose him was, he always seems to look muscular and have a high workrate every fight I seen him in, the mans got stamina for days.

Valouev looks as good in the 12th round as he does in the first rd. Valouev is in shape, can go twelve rounds without any problem.

Fields must be one amazingly strong sum **ch, given how immense he is. 6 foot 10 is what I think he stands.

I only saw one of his fights, and was not too impressed (Julius Long fight) but maybe he's improved, as that was a few years ago.

Fields is probably much stronger than Valuev, I would say. But he's so big, I doubt he'll ever be able to get very skilled, as skilled giant fighters like K Brothers are very, VERY rare.

Slower or not, I want to see this version of Tye Fields again. He looks like one of the guys from the movie Cyborg.

 

I agree, I seen maybe 3 of his fights, 2 of which were on that versus channel, Kendrick Releford was one of the fighters I believe, he was muscular guy with amazing stamina, but lacks the skill to make it anywhere past the top 20 I'm thinking.

Theres no way that picture is real, I never remember him being that muscular, it looks fake IMO.

 

Duncan Dokiwari vs. Dominic Guinn was a really good fight IMO. Probably Guinn's last really good performance.

 

Vladimir Virchis seems to be in good shape, so is Maskaev and Chris Arreola. Solis looks to be improving and Povetkin's shape doesn't seem to have a negative effect on his overall conditioning.

Also the question should be which heavy looks cut? As I believe thats what you are looking for. Plenty are in shape in the true sense of the word

Valuev is in great shape. Does not look sharp, but what do you expect from a half-ape.

 

I do think looking in shape and being in shape are two different things...McCline and Shannon Briggs are always ripped to the gills but when they get in there they gas out by the end of the 4th round.

Then you guys like Ruslan who don't ever seem to tire out.

It's not a body building competition...but if you look like you're in shape 9/10 you're gonna have the advantage over a fat tub.
